Canvas & Courage supports schools, libraries, community centers, and faith organizations through exhibitions, classroom programs, and art-based learning tools, including the Women of Color and Accomplishment book series, card sets, and coloring books. Each project is designed to spark curiosity, conversation, and courage—the courage to imagine a more just and inclusive world.
We believe that art has the power to teach, to heal, and to unite. When children and adults learn about these remarkable women, they discover that their own stories matter too—and that every act of learning, kindness, and creativity carries the potential to make history.

Lesson Plans
All lesson plans are bassed on using the Women of Color and Accomplishment book series.
The focus is to create a History Exhibit either in the classroom or at a community event. An example is the first event funded by a Canvas & Courage grant.
